Description
Buckwheat honey is bold in flavor with molasses and malty tones and a lingering aftertaste. Buckwheat honey is also very dark in color. Darker honeys tend to be higher in beneficial antioxidant compounds and minerals than lighter honeys.
The dark amber, almost black-looking color of buckwheat honey is in stark contrast to the light-colored clover and wildflower honeys traditionally found at farm markets all over Ohio and the Midwest.
