Why Does Our Honey Have Different Colors?
The color of honey can vary depending on the flowers the bees visit for nectar. Light honey typically comes from clover or wildflowers, while darker honey comes from sources like buckwheat or wildflowers. Each type has its own unique flavor profile and nutritional benefits. All our honey is 100% natural, so you get the full spectrum of what the bees bring back!

Tami and Gary Wylie, owners of Cherry City Honey Farms and Apiary, know the importance of the honey bee. They have turned their love of beekeeping into a business.
Gary is an advocate for learning and loves to teach others about bees. He blogs, vlogs, and assists with sponsoring and teaching classes at the farm for Sandusky River Valley Beekeepers Association for both new and seasoned beekeepers.
Tami enjoys being the master mind behind the special recipes she uses to infuse or creaming honey. It is important to her to have natural ingredients that don’t harm. She also likes to create ways to use beeswax. She hand-makes everything from candles, to lotion bars.
Both Tami and Gary love to have organizations come to their place and explain to them why bees are so important to our community. They even have a self-guided Bee Educated Bee Lab set up with stickers and take home pamphlets for the kids and kids at heart.
